INTRODUCTION
Tambopata National Reserve is one of the most precious natural jewels of the Amazon rainforest. It is a must-see destination for both travelers to Peru and nature lovers from around the world. Here, we will explore the lush jungle on an exciting hike, where we can spot a variety of wildlife, from monkeys to snakes. In addition, Lake Sandoval, with its serene waters, is an oasis of life in itself, filled with a rich biodiversity to marvel at.
ITINERARIO
DAY 1 TREKKING POR LA SELVA
DAY 1
- Our excursion with Machupicchu Journey will start from the pick up point at 9:00 am. From there, we will head to the port where we will board a boat to go down the Madre de Dios River until we reach our lodge.
- Once there, we will get ready to head to the entrance of the Tambopata Reserve, where we will begin a hike of approximately one hour to reach the beautiful Sandoval Lake.
- Then, we will embark on a paddle canoe to quietly explore the lake, hoping to spot some river otters, birds and other species.
- After this exciting experience, we will enjoy a delicious lunch at the lodge.
- Then, those who wish will have the opportunity to swim in the Sandoval Lake, always following the indications of our guide.
- Finally, we will return to the city of Puerto Maldonado, thus completing our adventure in the jungle.
