The incredible Salar de Uyuni also known as Salar de Tunupa is the largest salt desert in the world, located at 3650 m.a.s.l., product of prehistoric lakes that evaporated today is one of the major tourist sites.

What is the best season to visit the Salar de Uyuni?

The ideal time to visit the salt flat is during the months of May to April and October and part of December as the weather is not extreme and there is great scenery with clear skies over the salt flat.
