Tour Tambopata | Monkey Island & Tree Lick and the Monkey Island & Tree Lick Excursion is a wonderful experience that takes place in the Peruvian rainforest. During this adventure, we will sail down the Madre de Dios River to Monkey Island, a sanctuary for families of various species of monkeys that have been affected by excessive hunting for the black market.
On the Monkey Island Excursion, we will have the opportunity to interact with species such as the capuchin monkey, marmoset and others. Then, an exciting activity awaits us on the canopy bridges, which rise more than 40 meters above the ground.
Itinerario
Tambopata Tour : Monkey Island & Tree Lick
We will begin the tour of the Tree Colpas and Monkey Island by picking you up at your hotel near the Plaza de Armas at 9:00 am. From there, we will head to the river port to embark on an exciting journey down the Madre de Dios River. During our trip, you will have the opportunity to spot turtles, birds, capybaras, caimans and other species that inhabit this vibrant jungle. Then, we will arrive at Monkey Island, where we will enjoy a short walk and interact with various species of monkeys, such as the capuchin, marmoset and others. Afterwards, an exciting adventure awaits us on the canopy bridges, made up of 7 bridges that rise more than 40 meters above the ground. From the highest tower, you will have an incredible panoramic view of Monkey Island and you will be able to observe birds such as parrots, toucans and more. Finally, we will return to the city, marking the end of our services on the Colpas de los Arboles and Monkey Island tour with Machupicchu Journey.
