The Sacred Valley + Machu Picchu Tour is a classic adventure in which we will visit the first day the archaeological site of Pisaq then continue to Urubamba where we will stop for lunch, then awaits the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo at the end of our guide will continue to the train station where we will board to go to Machu Picchu village, here we will spend the night.
The next day we will leave very early in order to be the first to board the bus up to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu where we will have a guided tour of approximately 2.5 hours, we can appreciate the architecture and engineering of the Inca empire as well as a variety of flora and fauna present in the Sanctuary. After finishing the tour we will return to the city of Cusco.
Then we show you how to get to the Sacred Valley and Machupicchu.
Itinerario
DAY 1: VALLE SAGRADO DE LOS INCAS – AGUAS CALIENTES
First day
- This experience begins at 8:00 am, with the pick up from your hotel in Cusco, we will head towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, until we reach the archaeological park of Pisaq, where we will have a guided tour of 1h30min. approx.
- Then we will descend to the town of Pisaq, we will visit the handicraft market, here we can buy souvenirs made with the hands of the same people of Pisaq.
- Then we head to Urubamba, where we will have a delicious buffet lunch.
- After lunch, we will go to the town of Ollantaytambo, to visit the archaeological complex, in the afternoon we will board the tourist train to the town of Aguas Calientes, this trip has a duration of 1h40min. approx.
- Upon arrival at the train station in Aguas Calientes a representative of Machu Picchu Journey will be waiting for you to take you to your hotel.
- In the evening the guide will come to your hotel to give you the last details for your visit to Machu Picchu.
DAY 2: MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
Second day
- This great day begins with breakfast at the hotel, then we will go by tourist bus to the entrance of the great citadel of Machu Picchu in a 30min trip.
- Arriving at the entrance of Machu Picchu, we will start our tour, we will have a guided with all the informative part about 2hrs, then you will have free time to make an excursion on your own.
- At the end of the tour in Machu Picchu we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes, here a delicious lunch awaits us in a good restaurant.
- In the afternoon we will board the train Aguas Calientes – Ollantaytambo.
- Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, a Machu Picchu Journey representative will be waiting to bring you back to the city of Cusco and drop you off at your hotel.
- Arrival time in Cusco approx. 20:00hrs.
