Kunurana Snow
KUNURANA SNOW-CAPPED MOUNTAIN
It is a natural attraction considered an Apu, which protects the communities in the area, covered with countless streams that invite you to a spectacular tour. On the other hand, the surrounding population is dedicated to grazing mainly alpacas, llamas, cattle, sheep. It also has a great variety of flora and fauna including foxes, Andean foxes, skunks, deer, as well as Andean plants.
Its ascent is done through trails designed from the town of Santa Rosa. What attracts attention are the seasoned mountaineers and trekking enthusiasts, who begin the journey through its slopes with the desire to conquer its peak.
LOCATION:
It is located in the district of Ayaviri, province of Melgar, within the region of Puno.
ALTITUDE:
At an altitude of 6,420 meters above sea level.
HOW TO GET TO THE SNOWY KUNURAMA?
In order to get to the town where the journey to Kunurama begins, the first thing we have to do is to go from Ayaviry to Santa Rosa, which can be done by bus, the journey takes approximately 50 minutes, once we reach the town we continue on foot for 30 minutes to the foot of the snowy Kunuruna.

The attraction is open to the public year-round and does not require any type of admission.
